To Our Families and Communities
We wish that you stay safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. When it comes to your communities, loved ones, and those who are at high risk, please check on them regularly by phone or social media to make sure they know that you are thinking of them and are available to them if they need you.
Our staff at Green’s Funeral Home, wish you to know that we will continue to serve at the same level of care and respect that you have come to expect.
Given the fact that we now have the COVID-19 virus in Nova Scotia, we are implementing the rules and guidelines set out by the Federal and Provincial Governments Department of Health authorities.
If you require our services for the loss of a loved one, PLEASE call 902-625-2929 to set an appointment. We ask that you limit the number of family members coming to the appointment to 2 people. If you have masks and gloves, please wear them for all of our safety. If you have any signs of this virus, or have been in contact with someone who has, or are feeling unwell, please do not come in for an appointment, please have another family member take your place.
In an effort to limit person to person contact, we are in the process of setting up an online catalogue on our website where you can see the selection of products that we have available. This should be available online within the next few days. If you require more information about these products, please feel free to contact us either by telephone or by digital communications.
Please note that all churches are closed at the present time. Funeral services will be restricted to funeral home settings with a limit of 5 people present at a time with the 6 feet social distancing rule followed.
This is a very stressful and emotional time for all of us. If we stand together, we can, and will, beat the Virus.
The Staff of J.F. Green’s Funeral Services
In November 2019, John Francis Green sadly passed away. His loss has been deeply felt at Green's Funeral Home and we have needed to make some adjustments given John's very visible presence in communities that we serve.
Our funeral home continues to operate with the same principles John strived to achieve through the course of his career in the funeral services. Compassionate care and commitment to the highest standard of excellence will continue to be our goals as we provide funeral services to families in our communities. We will continue to serve our families and communities during their time of need with the utmost professionalism, respect and honour that they have come to expect from our services.
Francis X. Green, John's father, and Mike Halfpenny, our on-site Funeral Director, will work together to carry on John's Legacy honouring the dedication John had for his families and communities.
Since 1999, Green's Funeral Home has been providing dignified service with warmth and compassion to the families who have entrusted us with arranging funeral services for their loved ones.
